What Happens When You Take Bath During These Times Of The Day?
Bathing is so extensively done, that it feels like a joke when someone asks you what is the right time to take bath.
To us, bath is a cleansing mechanism which should be done routinely on a daily basis and also whenever you feel sweaty, and dirty.

People of ancient times, had their own theory and practices that was inspired from traditional medicine and astrology. Sunrise and sunset are two timeslots that make us head to the bathroom for a bath.
Few hours before sunrise and prior to sunset are proper bathing times. There is a Malayalam month namely Karkidam during which elaborate panchkarma programmes are conducted along with Bath in order to refresh the senses and the body.
We have categorized Snan into five dharmic types of snan on the basis of different timeslots of bathing. They are 'Munisnanam', 'Devasnanam', 'Manushyasnanam' and 'Rakshasisnanam' and Yogic snan,.
Munisnanam: Munisnan or Brahma snan is when you take bath between 4 and 5. It is the best time to take bath as this betters your health, immunity and improves your intellect and concentration.
While taking bath, one has to repeat the Narayana mantra of Om Namo Narayanaya or Shiva Mantra Om Namah SHivaya to obtain peace and prosperity.
Devasnanam: Bathing between 5 am and 6 am is called Devasnanam. You can take this bath after or along with sunrise.
Chant the name of holy rivers and chant Gayatri mantra to attain peace of mind. This is good as you will be blessed by gods with good reputation and comfort in life.
Manushyasnanam: This is when we humans take bath daily, that is between 6 and 8 am. Luck and happiness can be procured by taking bath at this time of the day.
Rakshasisnanam: If you are unable to take bath before 8 am, do not take bath after this time. Wait for a few minutes before sunset. After 8 am bath is known as rakshasa snan or danava snan.
This may lead to bad outcomes too, like financial loss, difficult time, and poverty to the inhabitant. Also taking bath after having food or coffee is called Danava Snan. It invites bad luck and problems in life.
Yogic Snan - if you meditate on your ishta daiva while taking bath it is called Yogic snan. Such bath is treated as a pilgrimage snan. Some yogis also have a habit of producing water from the body and then taking bath in it.
This is yogic snan. This is the last of all snans which is unthinkable but most spiritually elevating snan that also bears good outcomes.
