One
needs
to
clean
the
house
thoroughly
on
this
day
and
wear
clean
clothes
after
taking
bath
etc.
Also,
one
should
bathe
in
any
holy
river
on
the
day
of
Sankranti.
After
that,

offer
Arghya
to
the
Sun
God
on
the
day
of
Vrishabha
Sankranti.
One needs to chant mantras while offering water to the Sun. After Pitra Tarpan, worship Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva as well. Them one needs to light a lamp of ghee in front of God and take a vow of fasting. One can consume fruits while fasting and have a nap in the evening.
