You are perfectly eligible to worshp the lord if you love him sincerely and intensely yearn to be in his service. Worshipping at home requires you to have a picture or an idol of Jagannath which you can purchase from Jagannath Puri or other Iskcon temples. Pictures are also as good as idols, for the puja.

Iskcon temples usually have a huge smiling Jagannath photo. Jagannath has to be purchased along with his siblings.

Design A Big Altar for Lord Jagannath

Purchase a big altar for the deity so that you can catch a glimpse of the lord from all angles. Small idols, are never preferable anywhere, be it your puja mandir or your cupboards. Arrange his idol in an attention grabbing area, say, living room in your house. This can afford every visitor the divine glimpses of the lord.

His presence in the living room is a must as he is the one who provided you your livelihood, your home and hearth and finally your life. We need to remember that gratefully. On the day of the festival, even your guests can obtain his blessings.

List of Items Required For Worshipping Lord Jagannath

Lord Jagannaths puja is easy to do, and a no hassle procedure. You require an Achamanam cup with ganga jal inside, ghee lamp, agarbattis, a nonblowing conch filled with Ganga Jal mixed with rose water, a hankey sized cloth, Fragrant flowers except hibiscus, peacock fan, Chamara, small pot for collecting the water that is used to bathe the lord, and chiming bell.

Firstly take out the agarbattis, and perform a dhuparati to the Lord for 7 times. Repeat the same procedure with Balabhadra, Subhadra, and Sudarshan chakra as well.
Have a large number of agarbattis and light them so that the fragrance pervades the atmosphere. Then light the deepa with ghee lamp and perform deeparathi after offering it to God. Conduct the deeparati thus.

Show the diya to Lords feet and move it in clockwise direction around it. Then repeat it at the lords belly by moving it clockwise twice, and take it near his head and rotate three times, and lastly around the entire body of the lord seven times in clock wise direction.
Note that gods aarti has to be done always in clockwise direction. Repeat this process with Balabhadra and lastly with Subhadra and Sudarshan chakra.

The entire procedure should be done deliberately slowly and with complete focus and faith. When the puja is over, the aarti plate has to be passed on amongst family members who can hover their palms over the aarti flame and then touch their forehead and eyes.

Rotate the water filled conch over the Gods Head and seven times around his body. Now drizzle some water from the conch in to the small pot. Same process should be repeated with the other three idols.

Bathe the Lord using the non-blowing conch. Once you've bathed the idols, splash the sacred water accumulated in the small pot on yourself and your family members.

Use Cloth to Dry the Lord

Dry the idols with a silk hanky sized cloth and wipe the body of the Lord 7 times. Repeat the process with the other three idols.

Offer Flowers to Lord Jagannath

Now sprinkle fresh flowers on the Lord. Do pushparati to lord about 7 times clockwise. Take a few flowers and put them on the feet of all idols after you repeat the pushparati to other gods.

Blow the Lord with Chamara or Yak Tail Fan

Wave a chamara around the lord by moving it up and down for seven times. Repeat with other deities. You can also wave it more than 7 times if you have time on your hands.Fan the lord with a peacock fan and repeat the process with the other idols.

While worshipping chant hymns slokas or stotras. Or you can chant the hare krishna mantra along with your family. Using cymbals adds its own charm to the event.
Lord Krishna is another form of Lord Jagannath, and hence you can choose hare krishna mantra. Also stotras meant for Jagannath can be played in the CD or it could be sung. Ideal Stotra would be the jagannathashtakam Stotra of Adi Shankaracharya for its perfect rhythm and ceaseless rhyme and the melody that literally lilts through the musical nature of the words.

It can be a little tough due to the usage of perfect and advanced Sanskrit expressions, but practice makes you perfect.
