Scenario Today
Today's
world
is
war
struck,
and
devastated
due
to
occasional
frictions
between
warring
countries,
and
we
have
just
recoiled
from
the
international
surgical
strikes
and
nuclear
backlashes.
War
is
an
international
disaster
for
human
lives
that
are
lost
in
its
gory
operations.
Astrologically
it
can
be
explained
as
the
result
of
the
planetary
positions.
Of
course,
our
karma
is
the
chief
culprit
that
decides
if
we
are
to
have
a
war
and
suffer
its
consequences.
Our
country
was
a
victim
to
several
invaders
and
it
was,
from
a
practical
angle,
due
to
the
lack
of
unity
in
our
Kshatriyas
who
had
divided
the
country
into
several
pieces
by
constantly
waging
war
between
themselves.
If
they
had
summoned
all
their
collective
energies
and
fought
the
war
they
would
have
certainly
won
and
kept
the
enemies
at
bay.
If
we
see
beyond
the
practical
angle,
as
to
what
made
us
lose,
despite
the
warrior
like
valour
that
our
fighters
exhibited,
and
what
made
us
fall
prey
to
tricky
situations
that
were
unforeseen?
It
is
now
that
we
realize
the
handiwork
of
an
unseen
hand
above
that
rules
everything
using
the
iron
handle
of
karma.
Paramahamsa Yoganada On Indian Invasions
Paramahamsa yogananda had always opined that the constant invasion of india and the resulting bloodshed and massacre of millions was due to the karma of Indians. It was the sense of pride, superiority complex and discriminating attitude of the higher classes that incurred sin and as a result of this Indians were karmically trapped and were forced to go through a series of invasions by Mughals and Britishers and the karmic consequences continued for many centuries, unabated.
Remedies
So
the
first
thing
would
be
to
better
our
karmic
standing.
It
can
be
done
by
amassing
good
karma.
We
should
not
only
try
on
an
individual
level
by
rectifying
our
mistakes
and
go
on
a
dharmic
path,
we
should
also
make
collective
efforts
in
the
zonal,
state
and
national
level
by
building
temples
for
Hanuman,
Rama
and
Shiva.
They
were
the
ultimate
warriors
who
knew
no
defeat.
Hence
we
take
them
as
inspirations.
Hanuman
is
an
avatar
of
Shiva
and
he
is
inseparably
connected
with
Rama.
Karmic
consequences
are
difficult
to
shake
off.
Mani
and
mantroushadhis
can
help.
But
again,
if
our
destiny
can
be
changed
by
pariharas,
that
should
first
of
all
be
indicated
by
the
planets.
If
not,
parihars
do
not
help.
But
even
then,
the
remedy
would
be
the
stotra
and
mantras
which
are
capable
of
wiping
out
most
of
the
karmas.
Visiting Temples
Hence
spirituality
has
to
play
a
vital
role
in
every
aspect
of
life.
Visiting
temples
is
another
factor
that
lets
us
understand
our
culture
and
spirituality
at
close
quarters.
Following
our
ancestors
guidance,
on
the
cultural
front,
we
can
surely
get
closer
to
dharma,
culture,
and
spirituality,
This
way,
we
will
be
more
oriented
into
the
path
of
dharma.
We
should
develop
values
and
principles
which
are
actually
considered
the
first
pedestal
in
spiritual
evolution.
Our
conduct
has
a
lot
to
say
about
our
spirituality.
The
temples
were
destroyed
repeatedly
as
the
spirituality
in
these
places
had
decayed
and
this
led
to
destruction
of
these
temples
places
due
to
invasions.
These
places
were
infested
with
negative
karma
due
to
losing
of
spiritual
awareness
and
we
were
entirely
responsible
for
the
cultural
decay.
Thirdly
pujas
bring
a
lot
of
punya
as
they
can
bring
down
the
bad
karma
in
an
effective
way.
There
is
nothing
that
can
change
or
modify
or
mitigate
the
karma.
Only
remedy
that
will
effectively
reduce
it
is
the
stotra
and
mantra
recitations
which
can
bring
down
the
severity
of
karma
to
a
great
extent.
This
is
the
reason
why
maths
conduct
large
scale
yagas
and
homas
for
general
welfare
and
safety
of
the
citizens
of
our
country.
Unity
is
power.
Collectively
chanting
mantras
act
as
powerhouses
that
attract
divine
help
which
will
benefit
the
entire
region.
Gajendra
moksha
is
a
powerful
stotra
that
is
meant
for
seeking
divine
protection
in
times
of
terrible
crisis
which
is
hard
to
get
out
of.
Gajendra
moksha
offers
protection
from
war
and
violence.
It
is
a
story
of
an
innocent
elephant
whose
legs
get
stuck
inside
a
crocodiles
jaws
and
the
elephant
howls
for
help
and
prays
to
Lord
Vishnu
to
save
it.
Promptly
Lord
Vishnu
appears
to
save
the
elephant.
The
stotra
is
rather
long
and
if
you
find
it
difficult
to
chant
the
entire
stotra,
you
could
choose
one
sloka
from
this
stotra
and
repeat
it
for
about
a
lakh
times
as
per
sadhana108.com.
