Improving Communication Among Working Couples
Most people have never learned how to communicate. Without this skill, a person is handicapped in an intimate relationship. Without being able to express themselves and listen to another, partners cannot achieve intimacy.
By developing your communication skills, you and your partner will be able to establish and preserve a loving, respectful relationship between two people who love each other yet find much lesser time to spend together due to respective careers.

Open, honest, and positive communication is the solid groundwork for which you can build a healthy and happy relationship upon. Ultimately, many arguments and disagreements between couples evolve from a lack of good communication skills in the couple’s repertoire.
Couples often resort to arguing and bickering back and forth, where nothing ever gets resolved and neither partner is satisfied. It is important atleast one of you backs down and assess the situation which would help in approaching the problem in a more positive way.
Due to individual and respective professional careers eating into your ‘to-gether’ time, the one thing that is badly affected is your communication.
As you spend more time apart than together, the communication gap is bound to stretch and affect your relationship. This is where one has to show maturity in dealing with the delicate situation by making sure each of you makes certain time of week for you partner and spend some intimate and quality time bridging the gap and getting to know each other well.
Listen
The
best
relationships
rely
solely
on
good
communication,
which
in
turn
rely
heavily
on
listening.
Both
the
partners
cant
keep
talking,
on
has
to
listen
while
the
other
talks.
This
is
important
as
single
person
talking
all
the
time
will
eventually
impact
the
relationship
negatively.
You
have
to
give
our
ears
to
your
partner
and
show
how
much
you
care.
Express
It
does
not
come
naturally
to
everyone
when
it
comes
to
expressing
their
thoughts
and
feelings
to
their
partners.
You
have
to
make
some
effort
initially
before
it
gets
easy
and
natural.
It
is
time
you
start
talking
as
much
as
you
have
been
listening.
To
start
with
you
can
choose
to
just
talk
about
your
day
or
some
incident
that
happened
at
your
workplace
etc.
Honesty
Communication
with
your
partner
will
have
no
value
or
importance
if
you
are
not
honest
in
expressing
your
thoughts
and
feelings.
Hence,
it
is
important
you
stay
honest
and
speak
out
the
truth
no
matter
how
hard
it
may
be.
Things
stay
a
lot
simple
and
uncomplicated
when
there
are
no
secrets
and
lies
in
a
relationship.
Last
thing
you
need
is
unwanted
surprises
that
would
have
gone
down
unnoticed
had
it
been
openly
discussed
earlier.
Focus
May
times
a
simple
conversation
can
turn
into
a
dreadful
confrontation
leading
to
arguments.
It
is
important
for
each
partner
to
focus
and
listen
to
their
partners
talk
carefully.
If
it
is
boring
or
not
interesting
to
your
taste,
you
can
politely
ask
your
partner
to
talk
about
something
else
reasoning
it.
Respect
and
support
Most
arguments
and
fights
in
a
marriage
happened
due
to
lack
of
respect.
Sometimes
on
might
feel
intimidated
or
inferior
due
to
lagging
career
that
might
make
them
feel
so.
It
is
important
to
respect
each
other
and
support
each
other
in
life
and
career
moving
forward.
