If you have a 28 days cycle, you may ovulate by day 14. If you have a 35 days cycle, you may ovulate by day 21. The first day of your period should be counted as Day 1. Sperm can stay alive for four to five days, but ovum lives only for 12 to 24 hours. Always have intercourse in alternative days for six days prior and six days after the calculated days.
