How To Prevent Pooping During Labour
When it comes to child birth, you want only your baby to come out of your body!! But, there are still some chances for such an embarrassing moment when you poop on the delivery table. It is natural that some poop will come out when you are actively participating in the delivery process. It is a direct sign that you are pushing well and correctly.
Usually, when there is enough time for the preparation stages before your delivery, you will get time to clean up your system. If you are in hospital, your nurses will help you with this by giving enema during the preparation step for delivery.
But, in most cases, normal delivery will not give us some preparation time to get ready. The only choice is to expect that you will do it on the table. But, if you are wise in taking some steps to be ready to face such a situation, here are some tips to prevent pooping during labour.

Empty the bowel: Be careful in watching for the delivery pain and when you start feeling the contractions, it is better to empty your bowel. Be regular in emptying your bowel as you near to your delivery date, so that this will not create much problem.
Eat meat: If you are non-veg, congrats! Don’t stick to vegetarian diet and fruit juices alone when you are nearing to your delivery day. Include some meat also in your food. Meat will help to harden your stool and this will help you to hold it when you are on the delivery table.

Avoid gas inducing foods: It is a good idea to avoid gas inducing foods at least some days before your due date. Gas in the intestine will cause the stool to be loose and this will surely trouble you, that the only choice for you will be to let it out.
Take a break: Once you start feeling the delivery pain, it is better not to eat anything after that. If you are inducing pain in a hospital, it is advised not to take any food, at least eight hours before. This is also a good idea to avoid pooping while you are trying to bring your baby out.

Do enema: Enema is usually given when a woman enters the delivery phase. After receiving the enema, you will get the temptation to visit toilet several times and after that, everything is fine and under control . This will help to remove all the bowel contents and it is the best, practical and most effective idea to avoid pooping while you are pushing out your baby.
Laugh at yourself: If you become unsuccessful in controlling your poop, even after trying all these tips, the next best choice is to laugh at yourself. Take the situation light and understand this will be something that will end in a few hours, after which you will think only about your charming newborn little one.
If you are one among those many women who worry about pooping during the labour, try these ideas and move to the delivery table relaxed. Do you have more ideas or suggestions on this topic? Do share with us.
