Forget About Owning Hermès Bag, This Luxuxy Brand Sells Single Paper Envelope For Rs 10,400, Netizens Shocked
Forget owning an Hermès bag; even a single paper envelope from the French luxury design house may be out of reach for most people.
Imagine a world where even the most mundane item can be transformed into a symbol of luxury. That's precisely what Hermès has done with something as simple as a paper envelope. While paper envelopes are generally sold a dime a dozen, buying one from Hermès will set you back a cool $125 (or Rs 10,400 approximately).

According
to
the
Hermès
website,
the
"signature
orange
Hermès
paper
envelope" comes
wrapped
in
silk
and
an
orange
paper
box
and
is
available
in
two
sizes,
A4
and
A5.
It
is
"ideal
for
storing
travel
documents,
tickets,
or
notes."
Also,
it
can
also
be
a
keepsake
for
"a
special
invitation
or
even
a
declaration
of
love."
Netizens
still
feel
that
the
product
doesn't
justify
the
outrageous
price
tag
and
also
a
TikTok

Hermès
has
become
viral
online.
"How are you keeping your papers from flying away without a Hermès mushroom paperweight?" comedian Benton McClintock wondered in a funny TikTok video. The envelope was not the only product that came under the scanner - a paperweight retailing for $2,950 also shocked viewers, as did a mouse pad that sells for $405.
"We're literally just a joke to rich people," a person commented.
The juxtaposition of everyday items with exorbitant price tags becomes a source of humor and disbelief among netizens who are quick to share their astonishment and laughter across social media platforms.
While some may view these products as the ultimate status symbols, others see them as clear indicators of the widening gap between the world's wealthy and the average person. However, this is not the first time that luxury brands have copped backlash for their ridiculous pricing. Last year, Balenciaga went viral for selling trash bags for Rs 1.4 lakh each.
