Whey and casein are the two products which form milk. So, when whey is separated from the milk, the remaining by-product casein can be used in the production of cheese. The whey protein is thus a natural product, which has nine essential amino acids and is a complete protein pack beneficial for your health. This protein pack is available in primarily three types-whey protein isolate (WPI), whey protein concentrate (WPC), and whey protein hydrolysate (WPH). WPC is cheap and widely available. However, WPH is seen as a medical supplement and is used in infant formulas as well.
