If you want to reveal muscle, restrict your aerobics to only 2 times a week. In the rest of the sessions, lifting heavy is important. If you focus too much on aerobics, you might not be able to reach your goal fast. Do more of strength training and less of aerobics.

Other Factors
If fat is what's covering up, burning fat to reveal muscle would surely help. A combination of cardio, lifting and protein rich diet would help. You might need to work hard to get rid of the fat on your muscles so that they reveal themselves.

Break The Workout Pattern
How to reveal muscle? Unless you constantly keep changing the duration, intensity and frequency of your workouts, you can't the reap their benefits. Change the routines, challenge your muscles often by giving more work to them. But you don't need to train till failure.

Rest Days Are Important
Allow your body to repair. Don't interfere with the recovery process. Plan your rest days well because all the growth happens during rest. Without taking rest, if you keep hitting the gym, you may reach a phase where your body fails to recover from injuries fast. Also, the soreness may trouble you if you don't rest adequately.

Separate Your Workouts
It is not advisable to do strength and cardio on the same day. Try to separate them. Do them on different days so that your cardio doesn't interfere much with your lifting. Trying to do both of them together on a single day may be hectic and may also be counter productive.

Food
What is the best diet to reveal muscle? Ensure that you fill your diet with chicken, fish and eggs as they are important for muscle gains. Don't neglect the intake of healthy carbs too though you consume a high protein diet. Also, include fresh fruits and vegetables in your diet to supply the necessary nutrients that help your body maintain itself in a healthy way.

Increase Intensity
Increasing the intensity gradually as you go is very important in your workouts. Without intensity, in your efforts, it is difficult to reveal muscle. In fact, intensity is everything when you are lifting.
