Healthy Ways To Season Food
Seasoning of food or food seasoning is done to bring in the extra elements in the food. Almost every cuisine has its own distinct seasoning for food. Food seasoning enhances the flavors by using various herbs and spices. But, should we be careful when using the seasoning for food?
In this article we shall discuss of some healthy ways to season food and healthy seasoning for food. The seasoning should be such that it does not contain too many fats or carbohydrates which are harmful for the health. Therefore, follow these healthy ways of seasoning food and healthy seasoning for food.

Oils - When you are using oil for seasoning purpose, make sure you use little oil. Try to use healthy oils like sesame oil, olive oil, etc which are not fat packed as the rest of the cooking oils. These oils prove beneficial for heart and body health. Therefore, using healthy oils is a healthy way to season food. Also, use very little oil for seasoning. The herbs and spices do not need a lot of oil to impart flavor to the food.
Salt - Salt should have moderate intake throughout the day as it contains sodium which should not be eaten more. Therefore, be careful when you are using salt for seasoning the food. For healthy seasoning for food, reduce the amount of salt you use. Salt should not be used more than 2-3 gram. There are some alternatives to salt like lime juice, black salt, etc which should be used for seasoning of food. Avoid using too much of salt as it also causes blood pressure problems.
Fried Food - Sometimes for seasoning fried vegetables are used. When you are frying any food for seasoning be sure you do not deep fry. Deep frying is bad for health and causes cholesterol related problems. Therefore, deep frying is not a healthy way for seasoning food. Use basic alternatives to deep frying like shallow frying, boiling, etc. You should be careful when using oil, it should be reduces to minimum.
Use healthy spices - Some spices like turmeric have antiseptic and antibacterial properties. Use such spices for enhancing the health benefits of the food.You may also use garlic and clove as they are healthy for digestion and help in providing immunity to the body against bacterial infections. Therefore, including spices and herbs which are healthy seasoning for food is good. Do not use fat filled food like cheese, cream, etc for dressing or seasoning of food and salads.
Avoid canned dressing - There are many ready and canned seasoning of pasta and salads available in the market. Do not use them as they contain a lot of preservatives which are not good for health. Use freshly made seasoning of food which is free from the harmful preservatives. Canned seasoning is not healthy ways of seasoning food. Use healthy home made herbs and spices for making your food delicious. It is no use using canned seasoning they are not healthy seasonings for food.
