Tikki Chaat: Street Food You Make At Home
Tikki chaat is a very popular street food in India. But it can also be an equally good snacks recipe to prepare at home if you give it a genuine try. This chaat recipe is one of the simplest if not the quickest. To make this Indian snacks at home you need to have 'tikkis' made of potatoes.
INGREDIENTS For Tikki Chaat :

beans,
cauliflower,
cabbage

cut)

cup
peas
(boiled)

tsp
coriander
powder
1
tsp
jeera
seeds
2-3
pieces
green
chillies
(finely
cut)
2-3
tsp
dhania
leaves
1/2
piece
lemon
Salt,
chilli
powder
to
taste
Breadcrumbs
to
coat
Oil
for
frying
Method For Tikki Chaat:
Heat oil. Add seeds, all the masala and the vegetables. Add half a cup of water to cook the vegetables till tender and keep aside.
Add salt, lemon, green chillies and dhania leaves to the mashed potatoes.
Make lemon sized balls, flatten in palm, put 1 tsp. of the vegetable mixture on it, place another flat ball of potatoes on it and close the edges by pressing.
Pat cutlets in breadcrumbs or can be fried just like that.
Fry in hot oil in a shallow frying pan, 3-4 pieces at a time.
Serve with sonth chutney, finger chips, beaten curd, green lasan chutney, green chillies, dhania leaves and chaat masala.
So Tikki Chaat can be served hot at home. This Indian snacks does not have to be street food anymore.
