Oatmeal Recipes To Apply On Skin For Better Complexion
We all are ready to try anything under the sun to get a fair complexion. But, have you ever thought of the side effects of all those chemicals on your skin? Chemical beauty enhancing products are ruling the market as they promise instant fairness. However, it is important to realise that nothing will beat the power of natural ingredients when it comes to beauty and skin care. They can be used even by those who have sensitive skin.
Oatmeal is one of the perfect ingredients to use in your face masks to get a better complexion. It is very effective in absorbing oil from the face, keeping it dry. Also, the mild bleaching effect of oatmeal will enhance your complexion. Oat meal recipes are a blessing for all those who have acne prone skin.
Moreover, oatmeal is rich in anti-oxidants that act against free radicals. This will keep your skin healthy and will prevent wrinkles. Another benefit of using oat meal for skin is that it can be used as a facemask, facewash or exfoliating material. Let us discuss some of the effective oatmeal recipes to apply on skin for better complexion.

Oatmeal-Honey Facemask
Add two tablespoons of honey to one cup of cooked oatmeal. Let the oatmeal cool and apply it evenly on the face. Keep it on the face for half an hour and rinse off well with cold water. This is one of the best ways to use oatmeal for skin.

Oatmeal-Yogurt Facemask
Yogurt itself is famous for its bleaching property. You can get the double bleaching effect by adding one tablespoon of yogurt to one tablespoon of oatmeal. This will nourish your skin and will help remove tan due to sun exposure.

Oatmeal-Lemon Juice Mask
Mixing one tablespoon of lemon juice to two tablespoons of oatmeal will give you an excellent facemask that will treat your skin problems well. But, remember to use a natural moisturiser after using this mask as lemon juice can dry up your skin. Adding honey to the mask can solve this problem.

Oatmeal-Banana Facemask
Mix one tablespoon of almond oil and one table spoon of honey to oatmeal. Mash half portion of a banana and add this to the mixture. Mix it well and apply on your face. Rinse this with warm water after half an hour. This is one of the oatmeal recipes to apply on skin for better complexion.

Oatmeal-Egg Facemask
Mix one egg in a bowl and add this to one cup of cooked oatmeal. Mix this well. Egg white is considered as one of the most effective skin friendly agents that provide enough nutrients and proteins. If you don't like the smell of egg, avoid the egg yolk. This is one of the oatmeal recipes to apply on skin for better complexion.

Oatmeal-Olive Oil Scrub
Add one tablespoon of olive oil to one tablespoon of cooked oatmeal. Mix this well and apply on your face. Scrub your face in a gentle circular motion to make the exfoliation effective. If you have very dry skin, you can even leave the mixture on your face for five or ten minutes.
