Do's & Don'ts Of Applying Hair Colour
At every saloon you will see women getting their hair streaked or globally coloured. Men too have adopted this weird fashion and have made a statement.
Hair colouring is expensive when you have to get it done at a saloon, which is why it is best to do it yourself, at home.
However, if you're a first time applicant getting your hair coloured at a saloon is worth the money as you get to steal some of the professional tips, so that it becomes easier to be done at home.
On the other hand, consulting a stylist comes first and foremost. If you're opting to get it done by a professional you need to first be comfortable with him or her.

If you've had a history of hair colour, let the stylist know so that they know how to create a better look for you. Now, it is quite obvious that hair colour has chemicals. These chemicals may or may not be good for your scalp, especially if you've go a sensitive one.

Also ensure that your hair is not damaged and has split ends as damaged hair soaks in more colour, making it look uneven when it is finally done. Here are some of the do's and don'ts you need to follow before you colour your hair. Take a look:
Henna - If you have recently applied henna on your tresses wait for at least six months and then apply hair colour, as henna and the chemically treated hair colour can react with your scalp.

Sensitive Scalp - If your scalp is itchy, dry, inflamed, has acne etc avoid colouring your hair as it could lead to other problems. This is one of the things you must follow before colouring your hair.
Colour Application - Colour application is an important thing you should keep in mind. Use the right bowl, the right brush and gloves before you touch the colour. The colour can stain your fingers, so be careful.

Bleaching Your Hair - Avoid bleaching your hair at home, especially when you are looking to change your hair colour by more than two shades.
The Wise Colour - If it is your first time, don't go for something too drastic. The safest bet is brown which is closer to black. This is another thing you should keep in mind before colouring your hair.
