Garlic Chutney Recipe: How To Make Lahsun Ki Chutney At Home

Garlic chutney, or popularly known as lahsun ki chutney, is a condiment that is prepared in all parts of India. The Rajasthani lahsun chutney is one such way of preparing the condiment with garlic, tomatoes and other spices to add flavour to any dish that is served.

The garlic chutney goes well with almost any other meal and can be preserved for about a week or so. It is quick and easy to make at home and this article contains a step-by-step preparation method with images and a video to guide you on how to make this mouth-watering lahsun ki chutney recipe.
GARLIC CHUTNEY RECIPE VIDEO

Serves: 1 small bowl

Garlic cloves (peeled) - 1 small bowl
Salt to taste
Water - 4 tbsp
Oil - 3 tbsp
Asafoetida (hing) - a pinch
Tomato puree - 1 small bowl
Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
Kashmiri chilli powder - 3 tsp
Coriander powder - 3 tsp

1. Add garlic cloves, salt and water into a mixer jar and grind it into a smooth consistency.
2. Add oil to a heated pan. Further, add asafoetida and the ground garlic paste to it.
3. Saute the mixture for about 3-4 minutes at high flame.
4. Pour the tomato puree and allow it to cook until the oil floats on top.
5. Add turmeric powder, chilli powder, coriander powder and stir well for about 2-3 minutes. Turn off the stove and transfer the garlic chutney into a serving bowl.
- 1. You can use dried red chillies instead of the kashmiri chilli powder to give the chutney a more spicy punch.

STEP BY STEP - HOW TO MAKE GARLIC CHUTNEY
