Watch Out On Your Sodium Intake

One in six children in Britain grab fast food at meal times each day. Half of the children did not know the quick and easy option foods were loaded with salt and incur harmful consequences.

About 40 per cent of children are not aware of how much salt is too much salt and almost a third are least bothered about their sodium intake.

"High blood pressure is the single biggest risk factor for stroke. Eating too much salt on a regular basis, as well as not exercising, can contribute to this, " says Joe Korner, Director of communications for the Stroke Association.
