In the glamour world, Spring and Summer are noted for famous fashion weeks. Like fashion weeks in New York, Milan and Paris, there take place a lot more fashion weeks all over the world. Fashion Week is designed as a showcase for buyers, media and other fashion industry professionals. Few of the most popular fashion weeks are reviewed here.

New York Fashion Week
A new crop of design talent will showcase its collections alongside American heavyweights like Michael Kors, Vera Wang and Diane Von Furstenberg among others at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York February 1st through 8th, in

the year 2008. The Fall 2008 Collections will be presented to the press, buyers, fashion insiders and celebrities who descend upon the city for the eight-day long event celebrating the best in fashion. Over 100,000 guests are expected to attend, including some 3,000 members of the press and fashion industry from around the world. The journalists, photographers, broadcasters and bloggers convening in the iconic tents, designed this season as a Greco-Roman "Temple of Fashion," will bring the Fall 2008 Collections to fashion-lovers worldwide.

Toronto Fashion Week
Spring 2008 fashion trends will be on the runway at Nathan Phillips Square from October 22 to 27 for the Fashion Design Council of Canada's L'Oreal Toronto Fashion Week. It is the Spring 2008 collections, on view between October 22 and 27. Normally, Fashion Week happens at a nightclub or event venue, but this time the FDCC is taking over Nathan Phillips Square, and the runway shows and all the schmoozing will take place under the cover of tents. The designers include popular designers like Montreal"s Andy The-Anh and Toronto's David Dixon.

Paris Fashion Week
At the beginning of the autumn, a six-week fashion dash sends buyers to cities around the globe to catch up on all the new trends for the following spring and summer. Paris' Fashion Week is based at the Carrousel du Louvre. All the usual fashion suspects have shows, including Karl Lagerfeld, Jean-Paul Gaultier, Vivienne Westwood and Alexander McQueen. The Paris show is the last stop after New York, London and Milan.

Hong Kong Fashion Week
The Hong Kong Fashion Week for Fall/Winter 2008 will run from January 14-17, 2008 at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Center. The fair is organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council. It is an event featuring all kinds of Fall/Winter clothing, fashion and clothing accessories, garment related products, services and supplies developed by Hong Kong manufacturers. The show will run concurrently with the World Boutique, Hong Kong, an event to promote designers' collection and brands from around the world.

Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week
The Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week Spring-Summer Showcase is another first by the FDCI which serves as a platform to promote 'The Business of Fashion' and facilitate interaction between designers and buyers in India and internationally. Over the last six years, the event has grown to be recognized as the only fashion event in India which is dedicated to taking the Indian fashion industry to the global stage. With 160 buyers and 75 designers, maintaining pace with international practices, Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week will be back in April. WIFW will feature India"s top fashion and accessory designers including Ritu Kumar, Rina Dhaka, Deepika Govind, Ashish Soni, Leena-Ashima, JJ Valaya, Tarun Tahiliani, Manish Arora - who will open and show - and Manish Malhotra, who will bring up the grand finale.
