There are a very few people who are lucky enough to stay in single rooms or flats. However, most of them have to share their rooms with a roommate and this invites a lot of trouble. A lot of people come across problems while sharing their four wall space with another person.
From dividing expenses to sharing items, roommates can be good as well as bad at times. Like the two sides of a coin, there are advantages as well as disadvantages of having a roommate. Here are the most common problems of having a roommate. Take a look...
Problems Of Having A Roommate:

Expenses: Money is one of the main causes behind many relationship problems. When you share a house with a roommate, you should divide all the expenses. However, if your roommate is not sharing expenses or delaying it, then it can be a trouble on your pocket. If possible, try to talk it out and find a solution to this problem.
Sloppy: Does your roommate leave his/ her clothes on the floor or bed? Is he/ she always with the idea of leaving the house in a mess? Then this can be a problem. There are many people who come across such roommates. These roommates either need someone to clean for them or are too lazy. Confront your roommate and tell that you have problems if the room smells like onions or of sweaty socks.
Thieving: This is one of the most common problems of having a roommate. You do not know all the traits of your roomie till you start staying together. True colours only come out with time. If your items, money or clothes are missing, then it is a clear sign that your roomie is a thief and stealing things from your wardrobe. Deal with such roommate immediately.
Sharing: Most of the roommates have the bad habit of taking your things and using them (with or without consent). This is another common problem of a roommate that can be really annoying. Often people do not mind sharing, but roommates take it for granted. They take everything which might not be good for sharing. To deal with such a roommate, you better talk to him/ her and make it clear that you do not like sharing stuffs.
