When M.T. with his blessed skills touches the theme, the novel becomes a masterpiece and a valuable asset for those who love words. The unchallenged skills of Arjuna are too tiny… The ever acclaimed justice of Yudistira is too little… before the sacrifice and dedication of Bhima who had to give way to others everywhere in life just because being the second one among Pandavas, even though was hundred fold powerful and skillful than anyone else. When looking through the eyes of Bhima, Mahabharata is the story of him; it is the epic of his sorrows and joy; it is the life and death of Bhima.
The novel ends with the realization of Bhima that it is not the Heavens that he needs but the world down the peaks of holy hills and he gently steps down to the valley seen far down to Mahameru, leaving behind his dear ones. A pair of white swans flew before him to make his way.
