Ricky Gervais: I Will Never Host Golden Globes

Ricky Gervais
Although the Hollywood Foreign Press Association's (HFPA) said it loved the way Ricky Gervais hosted the golden globe awards ceremony, the British comedian has stated that he will never host the awards again. Ricky Gervais who reportedly mocked the top Hollywood stars including the HFPA chief Philip Berk was rumoured to have been banned from hosting the golden globe awards in future. The British comedian, however, said that he had it enough and will no longer host the globe award ceremonies.

"I'm not going to do it again," TMZ website quoted Ricky Gervais as saying about hosting golden globe awards.
"I think twice is enough," he added.

Ricky Gervais also defended his comments on stars saying "I did every single introduction I was meant to. There just happened to be a long gap. This is because I was allowed to choose who I would introduce in advance. I obviously chose presenters who I had the best jokes for. (And who I knew had a good sense of humor)".

Meanwhile the playboy founder Hugh Hefner hasn't taken Ricky Gervais jokes about him lightly. The 84-yr-old has tweeted that he is used to such comments and that it will never matter to him in any way.

"I'm used to cheap shots. ... It goes with the territory," he tweeted yesterday. "It's ironic that living with 3 young girls prompted a hit TV show, but marrying one prompts humor. Age is still just a number. Jokes about age will begin to seem lame as we all begin to live longer, fuller lives."
