Miley Cyrus Gets The Global Action Awards

Miley Cyrus who has been in the news for all wrong reasons in the recent past, has a good side of her as well. She has been working towards inspiring youngsters in their field of interest and for her contribution to the youth of the society, Miley Cyrus has received the first-ever Global Action Youth Leadership Awards.

Miley Cyrus was the guest of honour at the first Annual Global Action Awards Gala in California on Friday. In the event Miley Cyrus received the Global Action Youth Leadership Awards from her idol Hilary Duff.

The organisation representative say that Miley Cyrus deserves the Global Action Awards for being the sole celebrity to be involved in several youth focused organisation, which includes The Blessing in a Backpack programme and the Get Your Good on Campaign. She also has several other charity works lined up.

For Miley Cyrus receiving the Annual Global Awards from Hilary Duff was a big achievement. The very emotional Miley Cyrus says, "I got to tell you that I never thought I would get an award from Hillary Duff. This is like a dream come true to me. She inspired me. I want (kids) to do something they love. Not something that seems like a chore because someone tells them that's the right thing to do or what their parents want or what's important to people around them, but what's in their heart."
