Ways To Prevent Clothes From Molds?

Ways To Prevent Clothes From Molds
1. Firstly, wash all those clothes or even the row of clothes that smell old and felt greasy. Wipe the shelves of the cupboard with camphor soaked water and leave it open for drying.
2. It is not a bad idea to store your favorite dress or saree in plastic bags. Plastic prevents clothes from getting in contact with wood. Also preserving expensive outfits in metallic cupboards will keep clothes fresh forever.
3. If you have furry jerseys and sweaters, you need not preserve them in plastic bags but wrapping in newspapers and sun drying every weekend will keep them away from molds. The fur on jerseys may become safe house of molds spreading all over.
4. Whenever you find time, keep the wooden cupboards open so that the air circulates and will not allow it to get damp or warm (for molds, damp and warm environment is favorable).
5. You can use naphthalene balls to prevent the smell. Lavender, spraying fabric fresher (mixture of fabric softener, baking soda and water), potpourri will prevent fungi and always make the clothes smell fresh.
6. You can also spray a few drops of strong perfume on a ball of cotton and keep them in every corner of the cupboard.
7. Wiping doors with a silica gel, or activated alumina will maintain the cupboards dry always.
