Tips For Cleaning And Maintaining Leather

Our easy housekeeping tips will also serve your requirements on cleaning leather furniture and bags etc so look for cheaper options. Leather is expensive and having them in your wardrobe itself is a prized possession. And if you wish to keep up with the sporty look you need to know how to keep them shiny life long.
Cleaning & Maintaining Leather Jackets
1. It is always best to preserve jackets on hangers as they won't get wrinkled. Exposing jackets to sunlight and storing them in an open dry area will decrease the chances of the material smell foul.
2. Wiping the jackets (outer portion) with a damp cloth would more than enough to keep them clean and shiny. For the sweat stains and dirt on the inner lining, we suggest dry clean.
3. Never wash or brush the jackets with water as it will tear apart. Use a mixture of olive oil + water or vinegar + water or a mild soap solution to wipe off the stains and dry it immediately with paper towel.
4. While ironing, set it to low and iron only the inner line. Ironing the jackets with a cotton cloth on is even better.
5. If the leather jacket cracks by chance, try to stick it using a fabric glue. Using a leather conditioner for the jacket will prevent further cracking.
6. For maintaining leather, brush it often with a soft brisled toothbrush and store in the wardrobe that contains fresherners that can keep away mold, mildew and moth.
