Air Conditioner Cleaning Tools:
- Vacuum cleaner
- A old toilet brush and tooth brush
- Air conditioner cleaner (detergent)
- Selection of screwdrivers (Philips, Flat bladed, 1/4″ socket head)
- Fin tool (optional)
- New filter (if disposable type)
- Oil
Air Conditioner Cleaning Procedure:
1.
Replace
the
new
filter
with
the
old
(if
disposable).
If
reusable
then
brush
it
well
with
dry
tooth
brush.
Spray
the
detergent
on
the
filter
and
soak
it
in
hot
water
for
a
while.
2.
Remove
the
filter
from
water
and
brush
well,
de-grease
and
hang
it
up
to
dry.
3.
Next,
carefully
remove
the
front
grill
from
the
main
body
of
the
air
conditioner.
Unscrew
the
nuts
and
place
the
grill
aside.
4.
Vaccum
clean
the
motor
and
using
a
wet
paper
towel
wipe
away
the
oil
on
the
holes
plugs
and
the
fan
blades.
5.
Lubricate
the
blades
with
a
few
drops
of
oil.
6.
If
planning
to
wipe
up
the
inner
surface
of
the
air
conditioner
see
to
it
that
water
doesn't
enter
the
electrical
connection.
7.
Straighten
if
any
fins
of
the
condenser
are
bent
using
a
fin
comb
or
stick.
This
will
help
in
increasing
efficiency
of
the
coolant.
7.
Leave
it
open
for
sometime
until
dry.
When
completely
dry
re-assemble
all
the
parts
of
the
conditioner
and
test
operation.
