Eating At This Time Can Make You Gain Weight
Why you must avoid eating at this hour? Read to know!
Research suggests that it is high time to ditch the late-night snacks, as you will be more likely to gain weight.
The time that you eat the food is more important, and it is as important as what you're eating. The time at which you eat can either make or break your weight.

This study showed that eating right before your bedtime can cause you to gain weight. The research showed that there is a link between melatonin onset, the time at which your body produces melatonin, sleep hormone and BMI.
The findings suggested that people who ate closer to bedtime had higher BMIs and body fat percentages in comparison to those who ate earlier.

The researchers also found that the timing of the food intake is relative to the melatonin onset, a marker of a person's biological clock. This is associated with a higher percent of body fat and BMI.
Biological sleep clock has more of an influence on your weight gain than the actual time of the clock. Eating around the time you go to bed will cause you to gain weight, no matter what time it is that you hit the bed.
This study was conducted on a small demographic of young students and it does not represent the whole population in terms of diet and body clock rhythm.
