Most of us already know of the above-mentioned reasons. However, did you know that under-eye circles can also be caused by a few other surprising reasons that you may not have even thought about?
Well, read on to find out what some of these surprising factors responsible for under-eye circles are here.

1. Genetics
Sometimes, even if you are taking a lot of precautions to avoid under-eye circles, you may still get them, thanks to your genes! Yes, a research has found that this condition could be happening due to a genetic influence.

2. Allergies
Allergies are known to cause the blood vessels in our body to dilate, and since the skin around our eyes is relatively thinner, the dilated blood vessels in that area give them a dark hue.

3. Eczema
Eczema can cause a lot of itching and irritation. So, in case the affected area is around your eyes, then the constant itching and rubbing of skin in that area can make it darker.

4. Make-Up
Many a times, we leave on our makeup for long hours. The chemical substances infused in a makeup can affect the skin under your eyes, causing dark circles. The quality of the makeup also plays a key role here.

5. Bone Structure
In some cases, a person's facial bone is structured in such a way that the region around the eye is hollower than usual. This may also be another strange reason that makes the area around the eye look darker.

6. Veins
There are a cluster of tiny blue veins around the eyes. In some people, they are more visible externally, thereby making that area appear darker.

7. Sun
Spending a lot of time under the sun, without wearing sunscreen lotions, can also cause under-eye dark circles, as the skin around your eyes is thin and delicate and it can get affected very quickly.
