High blood pressure is one of the common phenomena of today’s life. There are lots of people who are suffering from high blood pressure nowadays.
Uncontrolled blood pressure causes heart diseases that can be fatal sometimes. There are several reasons for varying blood pressure. People suffer from high blood pressure as well as low BP. So, what are the causes of a fluctuating blood pressure?

Before knowing that, you should know what blood pressure is. The heart pumps blood throughout your body. Blood pressure means the force of the blood that enters into the walls of blood vessels.
If the force is too high, then it is known as high blood pressure. While the force is lower than normal, doctors denote it as low blood pressure.
Physicians say that a normal fluctuation of blood pressure happens throughout the day. But, if the fluctuation happens regularly and repeatedly, then you need to consult a physician.

1. Food Sensitiveness:
If a person who is sensitive to some types of food, he/she may face a fluctuation of BP after having such foods. If you are sensitive to salt and have high BP, try to avoid salty meals too much.

2. Consuming Caffeine:
Too much consumption of caffeine is one of the dominating reasons for varying blood pressure. Coffee is a stimulant. It raises your blood pressure up to 13 mm Hg after consuming 3-4 cups. Though the reason is not clearly known, but experts say that it maybe because of the constriction of blood vessels.

3. Stress:
You don't need any other causes of a fluctuating blood pressure. While you're stressed out, it becomes harder for your heart to pump blood due to peripheral constriction in the arteries. Too much stress can be dangerous if you have a high BP.

4. Adrenal Fatigue:
Adrenal glands are the regulating machines of several hormones in your body. If the job of adrenals get hampered by any chronic disease or prolonged stress, your BP will fluctuate and your body can have a negative impact.

5. Medications:
There are some medicines, especially anti-inflammatory drugs or decongestants, that can cause fluctuation in your BP level. If you have any illegal drugs, those can be life threatening too. Before buying any over-the-counter medicines, ask the seller about the side effects. Don't go in for a self-medication.

6. Fever:
While looking for reasons for varying blood pressure, pay heed on this. Fever is the output of an infection. While your body fights with the bacteria and virus, the temperature goes up and your heart beat becomes faster. This increases your blood pressure to some extent.

7. Dehydration:
Dehydration means the water level of your body decreases to a great extent. While suffering from it, your blood pressure also fluctuates and becomes lower than the normal level. Saline water is the best remedy to retain the water balance and your blood pressure.

8. Cholesterol:
One of the most common reasons for varying blood pressure is this one. The cholesterol deposition in the arteries makes it narrower and stiff. Thus, the natural blood circulation gets hampered and your body suffers from high BP and hypertension. To middle-aged people, it can lead to a systolic hypertension.
