Ayurvedic Remedies For Burping
You get a burp when you gulp down too much of air while eating or gulping something down. It is nothing but the build-up of gas in the abdomen.
The gas in the abdomen causes discomfort, pain and cramps. The two main reasons for burping are swallowing excess air while eating and a poor digestion.
Some other reasons include alcohol consumption, excessive consumption of carbonated beverages, gall stones and peptic ulcers. Burping is also known as belching in medical terms.
Though belching is a natural process, it is also associated with several other disorders like gastritis, peptic ulcers, lactose intolerance and coeliac disease.
Some of the symptoms of belching are bloating, acidity, a burning sensation in the stomach, constant pain in the upper abdomen, feeling hungry frequently, nausea, a bitter taste in the mouth, vomiting and loss of appetite.
Herbal remedies are helpful in treating belching or burping. In this article, we at Boldsky have listed out some of the easy and inexpensive home remedies that effectively treat belching. Read on to know more about it.

Cardamom
Cardamom increases the production of digestive juices in the stomach and minimises the chance of gas production. It also aids in the digestion process and reduces bloating. Chew on a few pods of cardamom at least 2-3 times in a day.

Fennel
Fennel is the age-old remedy to relieve the burping sensation. It soothes the digestive tract and prevents the formation of gas. It is also a solution for indigestion, bloating and heartburn. Chew on half a spoon of roasted fennel seeds after your meal to reduce belching.

Asafoetida
Asafoetida, popularly known as hing, controls the formation of gas due to acidity. It even alleviates stomach aches caused by the build-up of gases in the abdomen. Mix a pinch of asafoetida to a glass of warm water. Drink it few times in a day for best results.

Ginger
Ginger is the best remedy to treat excessive gas. The properties present in it helps to cure the gastrointestinal muscles, thereby preventing gas, burping and bloating. It also promotes digestion and helps to relieve abdominal pain. Drinking 2-3 cups of ginger tea gives a good relief from belching.

Peppermint
Peppermint is another natural remedy that treats belching. It improves the flow of bile and promotes digestion. Drink peppermint tea several times in a day for best results.

Chamomile Tea
