Are These Factors Causing Inflammation In Your Body?
Inflammation is caused in our bodies due to various reasons. It could be the food that you eat and also other factors. Read on to know more.
What causes inflammation? Here are a few causes that you may not even realize. If you often suffer from inflammation, the first thing you must check is your diet. Inflammation is also caused by stress and hormonal changes.
Along with other factors, there are certain foods that you consume which might end up causing inflammation. These are regular food items that we have without even realising that they are the cause of inflammation.

Polyunsaturated vegetable oils like corn, peanut, soybean and sunflower are some samples of oil which are high in linoleic acid, an omega-6 fatty acid. Unlike omega-3 fatty acids that alleviate inflammation, omega-6 fatty acids promote inflammation. This is why you should make certain you consume a diet that is balanced in omega-3 and omega-6.
Refined sugar also causes inflammation. The irritation response to carbohydrates differs from one individual to another. Based on research, it has been found that the faster the carbohydrate is transformed into blood glucose, the higher is the glycemic index. When the glycemic index is high, more insulin will be produced, which causes inflammation.
Red meat has also shown to cause inflammation. Research shows that individuals consuming specific types of red meats suffer from inflammation. There are certain substances present in red meat that are known to cause inflammation.

Stress also causes inflammation. Whenever we undergo stressful scenarios, the body produces the stress bodily hormone cortisol through the adrenal glands. Cortisol raises blood pressure level and degrees of blood sugar to help you survive the brief bouts of stress. Its long term impact is bad.
Even though cortisol is an anti-inflammatory bodily hormone, all it does is suppress portions of the immunity system. This can end up causing inflammation.
There are various changes in a lady's body during menopause. One of these is the lack of hormones which were present in the early phases of life. Studies show that the lack of hormones might lead to chronic inflammation.
