Menstrual Problems And How To Solve Them
Menstrual problems are actually never discussed in detail because almost all women face them. There are a very few lucky women in the world who have hassle-free periods. Most women have to go through some chronic discomforts during their menstrual cycles. Now menstrual problems do not mean that there is something wrong with your periods. Even women who have regular periods face these problems for those 5 days.
Menstrual problems are accepted meekly by most women as 'natural'. We learn to live with discomforts of the menstrual cycle because we believe that nothing can be done about it. But the present day world does not cut women any flak just because they are having menstrual bleeding. For example, can you under-perform at an important presentation just because you have your periods?
When you get no sympathy for having menstrual problems, then you will have to work on overcoming them. Common problems like menstrual cramps can be cured with natural remedies. In fact, there is a way to combat almost all the menstrual problems that women face.
Here are the problems that most women have during their menstrual periods and remedies to overcome these problems.

Stomach Cramps
Menstrual cramps happen when your uterus cramps and sheds the endometrial layer. Have oats during this time as it makes the shedding of the endometrial layer smooth. Hot water bags will also help alleviate the pain.

Weakness
Menstrual bleeding drains your body of iron reserves. Have iron rich food when you have your periods. It will help you gain energy and stay active.

Back Pain
Back pain usually happens as a throw back effect of the cramping uterus. The only way to deal with it is, stay active and drink lots of fluids during menstruation.

Blood Clots
Some women have the problem of blood clots coming out of their vagina during their periods. This makes the bleeding heavy and uncomfortable. Some herbs like nettles and alum roots can help to thin your blood and prevent clotting.

Mood Swings
Mood swings happen because you are hormonal. The best you can do to is to eat well during your periods. Have lots proteins and complex carbohydrates that gives you energy and keep your blood sugar levels consistently high.

Vaginal Infection
Wearing sanitary pads for 5 days in a row causes bruising of the sensitive genital areas. This can make your skin go raw and thus cause infection. Change pads frequently and wash every time you use the toilet.

Nausea
Nausea during menstruation is common because your hormones are playing havoc with your digestive system. The trick is to have light food during this time that is easy to digest and doesn't make you throw up.

Breast Pain
When you have your periods, your breast become tender due to hormonal activity. Wear comfortable lingerie during this time. Also have ground flaxseeds to relieve the pain.

Bloated Feeling
Bloating is a common menstrual problem that happens due to water retention. Limit your salt intake during periods, and also avoid caffeine in any form.

Bikini Line Rashes
Constant friction of the pads with your inner thighs gives rise to bikini line rashes. Apple turmeric and sandalwood paste on these rashes to heal them.
