Foods That Are Bad For Your Skin

All you have to do is, avoid certain types of foods which is not good for your skin. If you follow a proper skin care diet, you are bound to look fresh all the time.

Crab
One of the worst foods which is bad for your skin is crab. This shellfish contains a high amount of iodine which brings the onset of acne.

Milk
Experts say that consuming too much of milk will also lead to acne. It is true that milk is good for your bones but it isn't good for your skin. High skim milk is what you should avoid.

Sugar
Too much sugar is not good for your health as well as for your skin. Too much consumption of sugar will only lead to wrinkles at such an early age. The high sugar content will affect your collagen tissues, thus causing your skin to weaken, and making it more wrinkle-friendly.

Salt
It is said that excessive salt retains additional fluid in our body, thus it gives you a puffy look. The salt intake spoils the skin texture. It is best to avoid foods that have high amount of salt present in it. Foods like papads, pickles and table salt are rich in salt.

Alcohol
Experts say that alcohol inhibits the anti-diuretic hormone secretion which causes dehydration. It also causes vasodilatation, which is the extreme water loss through the skin.

Aerated Drinks
If you are consume aerated drinker, it is a nightmare to your skin. The caffeine content present in the drinks is the main cause for your poor skin health.

Red Meat
It is better to switch to white meat. The consumption of red meat can lead to inflammatory reactions. Free radicals which is generated overpowers the anti-oxidation capacity of the free radical scavengers in the body thus giving rise to oily skin.

Fried Foods
The excess oil in our food is not good for health and for our skin, as it gives rise to severe acne and boils on the heat zone areas.

Processed Foods
The processed canned foods is not good for your skin either. The canned foods are low in fiber content, which increases the glycemic load giving rise to a dull and bloated look.

Coffee
Caffeine is a known stimulant which increases the cortisol production in the body. This increases the aging process by thinning the skin. This dehydrates the skin and even leads to wrinkles.
