Fatty Acids Essential For Health -
Myth :
1. Fatty acids are primarily classified into essential and non essential fatty acids. Non essential fatty acids can be produced by the body and do not need to be consumed in the form of food.
2. Essential fatty acids (EFA) like omega 3 (linolenic acid), omega 6 (Linoleic Acid) and Omega 9 (Oleic acid) fatty acids are much needed to the body. These EFA's are polyunsaturated fat that contain some substrates like “prostaglandins" that are required and even play as harmones in the body.

1. These essential fatty acids are available in marine foods, olive oil, chicken, sunflower oil, flaxseed oil, canola oil and hempseed oil to name a few.
Benefits:
1. Omega 3 : Help in the formation of cell walls, improve circulation and oxygen intake.
2. Omega 6: a best diabetic neuropathy, rheumatoid arthritis, PMS, skin disorders (like psoriasis and eczema) and also a best aid in cancer treatment.
3. Omega 9: lowers the risk of heart attack, arteriosclerosis and prevents cancer.
