12 Fibre-Rich Foods To Fight Constipation

Constipation can be dealt with naturally. It can be treated by consuming high-fibre foods. For those who suffer from this problem, it is necessary to cosume a lot of fibre-rich foods.
Constipation is a tiring feeling. It can lead to various complications such as bleeding stools and a cut in the anus. There are a lot of fibre-rich foods for constipation which can be consumed twice in the day or even thrice in a week to get relief.
The average adult needs between 25 and 30 grams of fibre a day to ward off constipation, far less than most of us typically eat on a daily basis. But to avoid bloating and cramping, you don't want to suddenly go from eating 10 grams of fibre to 25 grams in a day. Therefore, it is best to add more fibre-rich foods to your diet gradually. Also, make sure to drink plenty of fluids to help the fibre flow properly through your digestive tract.

Beans
Beans have more than 10 grams of fibre in one serving. The fibre present in beans have a great mixture of soluble and insoluble fibre, which helps the food to keep moving through your intestines.

Lentils
Adding lentils to your diet will help in keeping away any sort of constipation problems. Lentils have a good amount of fibre to keep constipation at bay.

Peas
Hasn't your mother warned you about eating too much of peas? It is to avoid loose motions. However, if you eat a good amount of peas, it will keep constipation at bay.

Broccoli
Broccoli is rich in Vitamin K. It is good for those suffering from constipation. Broccoli also helps in reducing inflammation.

Avocados
