Symptoms And Treatments Of Thyroid Cancer

The symptoms of Thyroid Cancer is first noticed on the nobules of the neck.
Here are some symptoms -

3.One
of
the
marked
symptoms
of
Thyroid
cancer
is
the
sudden
change
in
the
voice.
4.Allergy
and
incurable
cough
5.In
the
advanced
stage,
the
symptoms
of
Thyroid
cancer

wind
pipes
go
to
one
side
of
the
neck.
These are the basic five symptoms. Sometimes the cancer is detected after it has spread to other organs. In some cases it has been noticed that the cancer goes on to affect the brain.
Thyroid Cancer Treatment
1.The first step to Thyroid Cancer treatment is of course the diagnosis. The cancer is diagnosed by sticking a needle into the nobule or the removal of the affected thyroid nobule.
2.The next step to treatment is to check the affected nobule to detect whether it ti's malignant.
3. If it is malignant, then there has to be a surgery. Surgery are of three types -
1.Thyroidectomy
–
The
surgeon
removes
the
lymph
nobes
in
the
neck.
2.Lobectomy
–
This
is
the
surgical
removal
of
the
lobe.
3.Tracheostomy
–
This
surgery
is
making
an
incision
on
the
front
of
the
neck
and
opening
a
direct
airway
for
the
patient
to
breathe.
4.After 4-6 weeks of the surgery, the patient is treated with iodine treatment for recovery. This can be done by radioactive iodine treatment or with medicine.
5.After two weeks of iodine treatment, the patient is advised to take the thyroid hormone pill. The patient might have to take it all throughout his life.
6.Regular checkup is advised for 6-12 months to ensure that there are no chances of relapse.
In Japan though, till now there are no reports of cancer and to prevent the occurrence people are being moved out of close locations and others are being advised to stay under cover. Food products of that area too has been checked.
