After all the tasteless diets and tough exercise regime when you finally loose weight, isn't it the happiest day of your life? But what if you experience weight loss without all these efforts? You will be happy but it can be a symptom of serious illness. Lets look at some of the causes of sudden weight loss -

1. Endocrine Disorder – The most common cause of sudden weight loss is the endocrine disorder. The endocrine regulaetes the functions of our body. At the time of endocrine disorder the body bruns more calories than needed, the overactive thyroid gland leads to increasing your metabolism rate and the body does not absorb all the nutrients.

2. Heart, Lung and Kidney Disorder – The heart and lung disorder is an important cause of sudden weight loss. This leads to lack of energy source to the body to function properly. The next step is the feeling of nausea, vomiting and loss of protein. This reduces all the functions of the bosy and thus you start looking lean and thin.

3. Infection - Internal infections cannot be seen and most of the time we don't even realise. These infections like fungal diseases, aggreviate the bodies immune system, which leads to burning of more calories. The burning of more calories then leads to loosing weight. The internal infections most of the time happen due to digestive disorders.


4. Cancer - One of the first symptoms of Cancer is sudden weight loss. The cancer tumour absorbs the nutrients from the body to grow also uses up all the energy. As the nutrient consumption by the tumour starts increasing, the body starts loosing weight.
