Colour Collectors And Neutralizers
Neutralizers also known as concealers, are highly pigmented cream products designed to neutralize discolorations on the skin. In the performance cosmetic line, they are known as neutralizers because they contain a base color that will block out these discolorations. Using a base color to neutralize a discoloration enables you to use less product compared to using a product designed to cover up the discoloration. With lesser product used you will see a more subtle yet fresh and complete finish. Pigment discolorations on the skin such as darkness under the eye, redness, and broken capillaries will vanish if the correct neutralizer is applied.

The skin is made up of four types of pigments, of which every individual has a unique combination. They are: oxygenated hemoglobin, or what makes blood red; reduced hemoglobin, which is the pigment that appears blue in veins seen through the skin; melanin, the major pigment, which darkens when exposed to sunlight; and carotene, responsible for the yellow tones in skin. Different skin need different neutralizer.

Oil free Neutralizer created for women with sensitive skin is a specially-tinted makeup which can correct and conceal imperfections. Formulated without the use of harsh chemicals, this neutralizer is infused with rich botanicals such as aloe, comfrey, and chamomile to calm or soothe the skin. Red Neutralizers are designed to conceal intense redness due to bruising, acne, birthmarks or capillaries.

Gently apply the neutralizer on the affected areas with a brush, sponge, or with your finger (don"t forget to wash your hands), blending out the edges. Apply foundation with a sponge around the neutralizer and then blend the two products together. Powder your face with a setting powder using a powder puff and you will see a smooth, even toned skin palette.
