Natural Remedies That Work Both On The Skin And Hair

We are always on the hunt for natural remedies which will benefit our skin and hair. Though we normally use different ingredients to take care of our skin and hair, it becomes a tedious and time-consuming process.


Therefore, in order to help make the process easier for you, we have compiled a list of ingredients that will benefit both your skin and hair.

1) Coconut Oil:
Coconut oil greatly benefits our skin and hair. It provides deep nourishment to both. It acts as an antiviral, antibacterial and an antifungal agent.
For Hair:

Coconut oil and avocado mask:
- This mask is great for dry and frizzy hair. It will make your dry hair turn soft and shiny.
- ½ a cup of coconut oil
- a ripe avocado
Ingredients:
Method:
1)
Cut
the
avocado
and
scoop
out
the
pulp.
2)
Mash
the
pulp
and
mix
it
with
the
coconut
oil.
3)
Apply
the
mask
onto
the
hair
and
keep
it
on
for
15
minutes.
4)
Wash
it
with
a
mild
shampoo.
For Face:

Coconut oil and lemon juice:
This
mixture
when
applied
to
the
skin
will
help
eliminate
any
dark
spots
and
moisturize
your
skin.
Ingredients:
- 1 teaspoon of coconut oil
- ½ a teaspoon of fresh lemon juice
Method:
1)
Mix
both
the
ingredients
in
a
bowl.
2)
Apply
the
mixture
onto
the
face
and
leave
it
overnight.
3)
Wash
off
in
the
morning
to
reveal
a
healthy
and
glowing
skin.

2) Olive Oil
This is another ingredient which works wonderfully on both the skin and hair. It will reduce hair fall and strengthen hair follicles. Its anti-ageing properties will help the skin retain its youthful glow.
For Hair:

Olive oil and egg mask:
This
super-moisturizing
olive
oil
and
egg
mask
will
help
fight
hair
loss
and
aid
in
hair
growth.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 a cup of olive oil
- 1 teaspoon of honey
- 1 egg yolk
Method:
1)
Mix
all
the
ingredients
in
a
bowl.
2)
Apply
the
mixture
onto
the
hair
and
leave
it
on
for
half
an
hour.
3)
Wash
it
off
with
a
mild
shampoo.
For Skin:

Olive oil and yogurt face mask:
This face mask will help heal the skin of any inflammation and acne.
Ingredients:
- 2 teaspoons of olive oil
- 1/3rd cup yogurt
Method:
1)
Mix
all
the
ingredients
in
a
bowl.
2)
Apply
on
to
clean
face
and
leave
it
on
for
15
minutes.
3)
Wash
it
off
with
lukewarm
water.

3) Aloe Vera:
Aloe vera is a wonder ingredient that works magic on both the hair and skin. Aloe is known to reduce acne and helps treat sunburn and tan. For hair, it reduces dandruff and conditions the hair.
For Hair:

Aloe vera and lemon hair mask:
This
hair
mask
will
moisturize
the
hair
and
reduce
the
appearance
of
dandruff.
The
lemon
will
help
cleanse
the
scalp.
Ingredients:
- 1 leaf of aloe vera
- 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
Method:
1)
Cut
the
aloe
leaf
diagonally
and
extract
the
pulp.
2)
Mix
it
with
the
lemon
juice.
3)
Apply
the
mixture
on
to
the
hair
and
leave
it
on
for
half
an
hour.
4)
Wash
off
with
a
mild
shampoo.
For Skin:

Aloe vera and rose water:
Aloe vera and rose water are very cooling for the skin. This will reduce sun burn and addition of lemon juice will help get rid of the tan.
Ingredients:
- ½ a leaf of aloe vera
- 1 teaspoon of rose water
- 1 teaspoon of lemon juice
Method :
1)
Cut
the
aloe
leaf
and
extract
the
pulp.
2)
Mix
the
pulp
with
rose
water
and
lemon
juice.
3)
Apply
it
on
to
the
affected
area
and
leave
it
on
for
15
minutes.
4)
Wash
it
off.

4) Green Tea:
Green tea has numerous benefits on our skin and hair. It is a good remedy to boost hair growth and the catechins present in it prevent hair fall. It rejuvenates our skin and protects it from UV damage. It also reduces the signs of ageing.
For Hair:

Green tea rinse:
This method will nourish your hair and reduce hair fall.
Ingredients:
- 3-4 bags of green tea
- 2 glasses of water
Method:
1)
Boil
the
water
and
dip
the
green
tea
bags
into
them.
2)
Let
the
tea
brew
for
10
minutes.
3)
Remove
the
bags
and
let
the
tea
cool.
4)
Pour
the
tea
onto
your
scalp
and
let
it
stand
for
15
minutes.
5)
Shampoo
as
usual.
For Skin:

Green tea and oatmeal face pack:
This face pack when used regularly will make your skin look younger and will improve skin texture over time.
Ingredients:
- 1 green tea bag
- 2 tablespoons of oatmeal powder
Method:
1)
Brew
half
a
cup
of
green
tea.
2)
Take
the
oatmeal
powder
in
a
bowl
and
slowly
add
the
green
tea.
3)
Mix
it
to
a
thick
paste.
4)
Apply
it
on
to
the
skin
and
leave
it
on
for
15
minutes.
5)
Wash
off
with
cold
water.
