The word 'Manduk' would mean a 'frog'. Since this posture resembles a frog, it is called 'Mandukasana' or the 'Frog Pose'.

your
knees
as
wide
as
you
can.
3.Have
the
inner
edges
of
the
feet
encircling
the
buttocks
with
the
big
toes
of
both
the
feet
touching
each
other.
4.Place
the
palms
on
the
respective
knees.
5.Straighten
the
spine
and
look
straight.
6.Remain
in
this
position
for
about
10
seconds.
