Ardha Chandrasana Or Half Moon Pose
The word 'Ardha' would mean 'half' and 'Chandra' would mean 'moon'. This Yoga pose resembles a 'half moon' and hence the name 'Ardha Chandrasana' or 'the half moon pose'.
1.Stand
in
Tadasana.
Perform
'Utthtita
Trikonasana'.
2.Having
attained
Trikonasana
on
the
right
side,
exhale
and
place
the
right
palm
about
a
foot
away
from
the
right
foot
by
bending
the
right
knee
and
bringing
the
left
foot
near
the
right
one.
3.Remain
in
this
position
and
take
two
breaths.
4.Exhale
and
lift
the
left
leg
from
the
floor
with
toes
pointing
5.Stretch
the
right
hand
and
the
right
leg.
6.Place
the
left
palm
on
the
left
hip
and
stretch
up
having
the
shoulders
well
up.
Turn
the
chest
to
the
left
and
balance.
7.With
the
right
hand
only
a
support
to
maintain
the
balance,
the
weight
of
the
body
is
on
the
right
foot
and
hip.
8.Breathe
deeply
and
evenly
remaining
in
the
pose
for
about
20
to
30
seconds.
9.Bring
the
left
leg
to
the
floor
and
return
to
Trikonasana.
10.Repeat
the
pose
on
the
left
side.

the
