What Is Laylat-al-Qadr 2024?

The night of Shab-e-Qadr falls in the third and last Ashra of the month of Ramadan. It is believed that on this holy night, Allah Almighty had revealed the Holy Quran to the last Prophet Hazrat Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam.

On this night all Muslims stay awake all night and ask for forgiveness from Allah for their sins. This is one of the most revolutionary nights of the year. On this night one gets the reward equal to the prayers of thousands of months. According to Islamic calendar, the reward for worshiping on this night is equal to praying for 83 years and 4 months.

Significance Of Laylat-al-Qadr In Ramadan

The night of Shab-e-Qadr of the month of Ramadan is considered to be the most peaceful and powerful night. People fasting on this night repent from all their sins committed knowingly or unknowingly. Those fasting stay awake the whole night and spend most of their time in worship of Allah.

Along with worshiping Allah, they also think about dua, recitation of Quran etc. Special prayers are offered on this night. At the same time, prayers for repose are offered to the deceased in the graveyard.
