According

religious
scriptures,
one
should
wake
up
in
the
morning
and
take
a
bath
in
Brahma
Muhurta
on
the
auspicious
time
of
Jaya
Ekadashi.
Also,
offer
water
to
the
Sun
God.
One
should
wear
yellow
clothes
after
bathing.
After
this,
clean
the
puja
room
thoroughly
and
install
the
picture
or
idol
of
Lord
Vishnu.
Offer a garland of yellow flowers to Lord Vishnu and offer flowers and sweets. After this, light a lamp and perform his Aarti, recite Vishnu Aarti and Vishnu Stotra, and also resolve to observe Ekadashi fast. Observe the fast throughout the day and stay awake at night by worshiping Vishnu with a true heart.
