Gayatri Jayanti is observed on the Shukla Paksha Ekadashi, the 11th day of the waxing phase of the moon in the month of Jyeshtha, according to the Hindu lunar calendar. According to the Vedic calendar, this year the Ekadashi tithi of Shukla Paksha of Jyeshtha month will begin at 4:43 am on Monday 17 June 2024, and will end on Tuesday, 18 June 2024 at 06:24 am. Therefore, according to Udaya Tithi, Gayatri Jayanti will be celebrated on Monday, 17 June 2024.

Gayatri Jayanti 2024 Puja Muhurat, Rituals

Performing puja at an auspicious time enhances the spiritual benefits and efficacy of the rituals. Ekadashi Tithi begins 04:43 am on 16 June 2024 and Ekadashi Tithi ends at 06:24 on 18 June 2024.

Typically, the puja is performed during the Brahma Muhurta, which is the pre-dawn period considered highly auspicious for spiritual practices.

On the holy festival of Gayatri Jayanti on 17th June, there is Ravi Yoga, Shivayoga and Chitra Nakshatra. On that day Ravi Yoga will be from 5:23 am to 1:50 pm. Along with this, Paridhi Yoga will continue from morning till 9:35 pm. After that, Shiva Yoga will start.

On the day of Gayatri Jayanti, Chitra Nakshatra will remain from morning till 1:50 pm after which Swati Nakshatra will start.
