When Is Apara Ekadashi 2024? Ekadashi has very special significance in Hinduism. Ekadashi falls twice every month. There are two Ekadashi in which one falls in Krishna Paksha and one in Shukla Paksha. Thus, a total of 24 Ekadashis occur in a year.
Ekadashi of Krishna Paksha of Jyeshtha month is called Apara Ekadashi. Ekadashi has immense importance in Sanatan Dharma. A total of 24 Ekadashis fall in a year and each Ekadashi has its own significance. On the holy festival of Ekadashi, Lord Vishnu Narayan is worshiped as per the rituals.

Apara Ekadashi 2024: Date, Time
This time the holy festival of Apara Ekadashi is falling in two days. Apara Ekadashi is on 02 and 03 June 2024. On 02 June 2024, householders will observe the fast of Apara Ekadashi and on June 3, Vaishnav people will observe the fast.
Ekadashi will start at 5:04 am on Sunday, June 2, 2024 and will end at 2:41 am on the next day i.e. Monday, June 3, 2024.
Apara Ekadashi 2024: Fasting Period
On Monday, June 3, the time for breaking the fast i.e. the time for eating fruits will be from 8:05 am to 8:23 am. The auspicious time for ending Hari Vasar on Paran Tithi is 8:05 in the morning.
The time for breaking the fast on June 4 will be from 5:04 to 8:23 in the morning. On the day of Paran, Dwadashi will end before sunrise.
Apara Ekadashi 2024: Worship Method
- On the day of Ekadashi, wake up before sunrise and take bath in Brahma Muhurta.
- After bathing, offer water to Lord Sun God.
- Wear clean and neat clothes and light the lamp in the temple of your home.
- Anoint Lord Vishnu Narayan with Ganga water.
- Offer flowers and basil leaves to Lord Shri Hari.
- If possible, keep a fast on this day with true devotion.
- Perform Aarti of Lord Vishnu Narayan with a pure mind as per the rituals. After this, offer fruits or sweets.
- While offering Bhog, keep in mind that only Satvik things should be offered to Lord Vishnu. Along with this, basil leaves must be included in the offering. It is believed that Lord Shri Hari does not take food without Tulsi.
- On this holy festival, worship Goddess Lakshmi along with Lord Shri Hari as per the rituals, which will bring you happiness, peace and prosperity in life.
- On this day, meditate on God as much as possible and do not use meat, liquor and abusive words.
Apara Ekadashi 2024: Puja Samagri
The first thing to be worshiped is a beautiful picture or idol of Lord Vishnu. Coconut, flowers, betel nut, fruits, cloves, incense, incense sticks, lamps, Panchamrit, ghee, Akshat, Roli, Tulsi Dal, sandalwood, sweets.
