15 July 2023: Shravan Shivratri

Monthly Shivratri will be celebrated on the Chaturdashi date of the Krishna Paksha of the month of Sawan. On this day special worship of Lord Bholenath and Mother Parvati is done. This fast will be observed on the 15 July.

16 July 2023: Kark Sankranti

The event of the Sun God entering from one zodiac sign to another is called Sankranti. Sun will enter Cancer on July 16, 2023, at 4.59 am. This is called Kark Sankranti.

17 July 2023: Somvati Amavasya, Second Monday of Sawan

Amavasya Tithi which falls in the month of Savan is considered special. The fast of Somvati Amavasya will be observed on 17 July. This date is important for bathing, meditation, Shradh rituals and Tarpan. The second Monday of Sawan is also falling on this date. To get the blessings of Shiva, he is worshipped on this day with complete rituals.

18 July 2023: Shravan First Mangala Gauri Fast

All Tuesdays of Sawan month are dedicated to Mangala Gauri Mata. Married women observe this fast for the long life of their husbands and unmarried girls for the desired life partner. The third Mangala Gauri fast will be observed on the 18 July.

21 July 2023: Vinayaka Chaturthi

Vinayaka Chaturthi falls on Chaturthi Tithi of Shukla Paksha of every month. Adhik Vinayaka Chaturthi will be celebrated on 21 July of the month of Shravan. On this day Lord Ganesha, the son of Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati, is worshipped.
