Mindfulness In The Present Moment To Enrich Life

What is Mindfulness?
It is simply being attentive, aware or conscious. It can thus also be termed as living in the present moment, where the mind is fixed fully in the moment. It is with an integrated mind which the undertaken task or work receives full attention, simply because the mind power is exercised to the maximum. It enriches the experience of the moment.
Success comes with focus and focus in turn stems from an attentive mind. Attention to the fullest is simply when the mind is in the present moment.
The Present moment and Mind power
When the mind thrives in the thoughts of the past and future, it is fragmented. We are a little in the present, a little in the past, and then we jump to the future. With a fragmented mind, the mind power is not used fully for the undertaken task thereby hampering attention and focus. It simply kills the freshness of the present moment.
By saying that Mindfulness would mean not planning for the future and not utilising past experiences to enrich life would simply be a misinterpretation of the subject. It is just that one should not stray unaware into the realms of the past and the future, getting lost in an endless stream of thoughts. It is just that one will have to be mindful even when thinking of the past and planning for the future and cut the chain of thought where required and return back to the present moment.

2.It renders the mind alert to the present moment, for every new moment can be experienced only in the present. The past that had already happened and the future that is to come also has the present as the base.
3.It makes one recognise the opportunities thrown before one.
4.It brings in success with the mind power exercised to the maximum.
5.Every experience is undergone wholly thereby bringing in a sense of fulfillment.
6.It simply enriches life.
How to bring about mindfulness?
1.Try to be aware of your own activities.
2.Train your mind to focus on a single object. This will help you enhance your mind power and bring you to the present.
3.Try to understand your mind by looking at your thoughts.
4.Allow a certain time for yourself to witness your thoughts which will help you understand your mind. This will actually bring about thought culture.
5.Be alert and bring your mind back to the present whenever it strays.
6.Never keep yourself idle, which will make you indulge in unwanted thoughts. By being active does not mean that you are not relaxed. Just try to keep your mind engaged in some activity that you like when you think you are actually idling.
7.Fix your mind in your breath, which actually work gradually.
8.A japa or chant practised for a fixed period of time.
9.Last but not the least do not lose track of the fact that you ought to be mindful if you want an enriched life.
We may say that we are aiming at success, but it is the fulfillment that success brings we are all in truth striving for. This can be brought about by only by mindfulness.
