The wealth accumulated by fraud, Will disappear equally fast.
By common consent, people feel the ill-gotten wealth will never stay long, valluvar has only given literary form to this thought in this Kural. Wealth should be earned faultlessly 'Paziyanji' of Kural 44. if wealth is not earned that way it will also be lost in quick time.
A line of 'Pazhamozhi' in old Tamil Literature expresses the same idea.
The Bible to has a parallel in the following verse of the Proverbs:
'Bread of deceit is sweet to man; but afterwards, his mouth shall be filled with gravel.
(proverbs 20:17)
