Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple: Unbelievable Mysteries Surrounding This Temple
In a mysterious corner of the expansive landscape of Kerala, as usual, we can find a temple for a deity, or a chain of temples that greet you with their fragrance and bell chimes.
Kerala is known as a cradle of mystery and Gods own country, and there can't be a better example than Padmanabhaswamy Temple where every step leads you to a mystery.

Of all magical places of India, Kerala's Padmanabhaswamy temple tops the list. The mystery laced chamber or vault containing treasures, which is not accessible in any way to anyone, sustains the mystery of this temple.
Maha Vishnu, resides as as Anantha Shayana here which means that he is sleeping on the serpent Ananta or adisesha and a lotus emerging from his navel on which Lord Brahma is seated. He is also accompanied by his two consorts, Sri Devi and Bhu Devi.
This temple, originally built in the 6th century AD, was beautified by Travancore Kings who were the direct descendants of Kulashekhara Alwar.
Way back in 2011, SC appointed a committee to keep a record of the wealth of the temple. The committee upon working on it, found 6 vaults with iron doors which could not be opened. They were called A, B, C, D, E and F.

As if to prove it, those people who tried to open it and unravel the mystique suffered great misfortunes and even death. Some temple invaders, in 1930s, tried to forcibly open the vault B but thousand snakes emerged from the vault and hence they had to back out.

In fact, there are two ante-chambers guarding the entry to Chamber B. The third and the final door is home to serpents, deities and yakshis.
During a famine, temple authorities, in order to put an end to the suffering, tried opening the third chamber to make use of the treasure for the sake of people. But all they heard was the roar of ocean from the other side.

According to some historians, it is believed that the temple of Sree Padmanabhaswamy was built just when Kaliyuga entered the earth which means it is 5000 years old and older than the Egyptian pyramids.
Unlike other Kerala temples, Shree Padmanabhaswamy temple is built in the Dravidian style that normally comes with high walls, tall gopuram and carvings
The main deity Padmanabha is composed of 12,008 saligramams which have been sourced from the Gandaki river in Nepal. It is estimated that if Vault B gets opened, the total estimated amount of treasure would be around $1 trillion.
