The Master's Grace

Swami Vivekananda guided his brother monks after Sri Ramakrishna shedding His body. During th e days in Baranagpore Monastery, the monks exposed themselves to severe austerities spending time only in meditation and other spiritual activities.
One day while they were engaged in a discussion, they decided to test the Master's Grace by refraining from going out to beg for alms, since they had taken up renunciation. “Let us see if the master will provide us with food as we have dropped everything on him"
The monks stuck to their resolve and spent their time in spiritual activities. They spent the whole day inside the monastery with nobody getting to know of their intention. Hence by the end of the day they all felt the menacing pangs of hunger.
Someone
knocked
at
their
door
late
in
the
night.
Swami
Vivekananda
asked
one
of
his
brother
monks
to
check
who
was
there
at
the
door
and
if
he
had
anything
in
his
hand.
To
the
surprise
of
all
there
was
some
other
monk
standing
at
the
door
with
delicious
food
from
the
nearby
Gopala
temple!
The
monks
then
offered
the
food
to
their
dear
Master
Sri
Ramakrishna
and
partook
of
the
food
as
prasad.
It was indeed more than a miracle. It was the Master's Grace!
