When Is Second Mangala Gauri Vrat Observed?
In 2023, the month of Sawan started on 4 July 2023 and it will remain till 31 August 2023. It will remain for two months. So, the first Mangala Gauri Vrat was observed on 4 July and therefore, the second Mangala Gauri fast will be observed on 11 Jul 2023. This fast will be celebrated on the Navami date of the Krishna Paksha of the month of Shravan.

What Is The Significance of Mangala Gauri Vrat?
There is a belief that Goddess Parvati asked Sage Narada how to get Lord Shiva as her husband and he instructed her to observe deep penance in order to please Lord Bholenath.

Legend has it that Parvati was cursed by Shiva to come down to the earth as she had playfully closed his eyes and therefore, the entire world came to a standstill. In Mangadu, she performed penance by standing on one leg amid five types of fire to be reunited with Shiva.
