Sawan 2023: 5 Bhog Items You Must Offer To Lord Shiva During Shravan Month
Sawan has already begun this year and this is considered the most auspicious month, especially for the devotees of Lord Shiva. This month is said to bring prosperity to life and numerous rituals are also done in this month to please Bholenath and his consort Goddess Parvati.
This
month
holds
immense
significance
for
people
belonging
to
the
Hindu
community
and
it
is
all
about
observing
fasts,
following
rituals
and
pleasing
Lord
Shiva
to
get
the
choicest
of
blessings.
This
year,
Sawan
began
on
4
July
2023
and
it
will
continue
till
31
August
2023.
This
month
will
last
for
59
days
and
this
year
due
to
Adhik
Maas,
the
celebrations
will
last
for
59
days,
which
is
approximately
2
months.

It is usually observed by married and single women for either desirable partners or a blissful married life, prosperity, happiness and good fortune. Devotees offer honey, curd, belpatra, milk and ghee to Shiva while performing the puja.

Halwa:
This
dish
can
be
made
with
semolina,
ghee,
nuts

sugar,

makhana

satvik
bhojan

garlic).

Malpua:
This

dessert

deep-fried

ghee.

Kuttu
Puri/Pakode:
Buckwheat
or
kuttu
atta
is
known
as
a
fast-friendly
food
and
it
can
be
used
instead
of
besan
to
prepare
pakoda
or
fritters
or
in
place
of
wheat
to
prepare
puri.
